National Park No. 3 Launching Ceremony
03 Jul, 2026The small workboat commissioned by the Marine National Park Headquarters, National Park Service, Ministry of the Interior, was successfully completed and launched in July 2026. National Park No. 3 was purpose-built for marine conservation and ecological monitoring missions. Its primary role is to support marine ecosystem protection, resource surveys, and patrol operations in the waters surrounding Dongsha Atoll and the South Penghu Marine National Park. Through long-term and systematic marine patrols, ecological monitoring, and scientific investigations, the vessel collects valuable data on the marine environment and biological resources. These data provide an important foundation for Taiwan's marine conservation policies, marine resource management, and academic research.

As the ribbon-cutting ceremony concluded, the vessel slowly glided into the water, signifying the start of a new journey and showcasing the outstanding achievements in shipbuilding technology. This vessel will take on the mission of exploring the mysteries of the ocean, making valuable contributions to marine scientific research and resource development.
