The OS8 built for Multi-Mission Offshore Surveys
Ocean Surveyor 8 (OS8) is equipped to handle a wide range of offshore survey tasks—from UXO and geophysical work to UHRS and ROV operations.
At 36m long with an extended aft deck, OS8 features an A-frame, crane, and moonpool for efficient multi-equipment deployment. Its DP system ensures stability during high-precision work, while dual 300KVA generators support continuous operations offshore.
With onboard capacity to stay at sea up to 14 days per mission, OS8 delivers both flexibility and endurance—ready to meet the demands of offshore wind surveys across APAC.
Ocean Surveyor 8 — The Eye of the Deep, the Echo of the World
Amid the boundless blue, there sails a vessel born for exploration — Ocean Surveyor 8.
She was not built merely to sail, but to unveil the secrets of the sea.
This 36-meter steel vessel, graceful yet steadfast, stands upon the waves like a seasoned adventurer who knows the ocean’s temper by heart.
Her spacious aft deck stretches wide — a multifunctional stage where the A-frame, heavy-duty crane, and central moon pool together form the operational core of her offshore missions, enabling instruments to be deployed swiftly and precisely into the water.
From unexploded ordnance (UXO) and geophysical surveys to ultra-high-resolution sonar radar (UHRS) and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) deep-sea operations, she adapts with ease. Like a silent scientist, she touches the textures of the seabed with fingers of steel, listening to the earth’s quiet breath beneath the waves.
Equipped with a Dynamic Positioning (DP) system, she can hold her position with unwavering stability even in rough seas — calm as a still heart amidst storm and swell.
Two 300 KVA generators power her continuously, providing uninterrupted energy for up to fourteen days of offshore operation.
This means that, through day and night, ebb and flow, Ocean Surveyor 8 presses ever forward without pause.
Her spirit belongs to the vast wind fields of the Asia-Pacific seas.
In the demanding missions of offshore wind farm surveying, she is both an observer and a pioneer.
Every dataset she records, every sonar image she captures, forms part of the foundation upon which humanity learns to understand the ocean and live in harmony with the Earth.
Aboard this vessel, technology and nature no longer stand opposed, but in resonance—
Steel converses with the waves, radar harmonizes with the deep.
And it is that reverence for the unknown, that thirst for knowledge, which is the true driving force behind the voyage of Ocean Surveyor 8.
