Resin Infusion Technology
Resin Infusion is a process by which vacuum draws resin into a dry fibre laminate in a one sided mould. The structures of our smallest 37' to 62' range are all constructed by infusion, which brings together all the benefits of sandwich composites such as lightweight and high strength, performance, health and safety. The process allows consistent repeatable results to be achieved and provides optimum bonding between the core and the laminate. It also allow further weight reductions to be achieved without compromising structural integrity. More importantly, from the environmental standpoint the process virtually eliminates the VOC emissions thereby improving the working conditions. In addition, to prevent the potential for blistering we use vinylester resin for the 3 outer layers of our hull.
